Impound Policies
Please have the following ready before coming up to the window.
1. Police Department Tow Slip
- If required on the Tow Slip to show insurance or registration, please have the proper paperwork.
2. Identification
- Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport.
NO ONE IS PERMITTED IN THE YARD WITHOUT THE TOW SLIP
Payment Policies
1. If the vehicle has full coverage and was involved in an accident the policy holder needs to contact the insurance company to file a claim and they will contact our office.
2. If the vehicle is being picked up or the vehicle is leaving the lot, the person picking up the vehicle is responsible for the charges.
- Payment must be made before the vehicle can leave the lot.
3. If the owner no longer wants the vehicle, they may sign over the title to Betts Garage.
- When signing over the title all fees are voided except for the tow fee of $200.00.
Damages and Missing Personals Policy
At Betts Garage, protecting your vehicle and its contents is a top priority. Our employees are required to photograph each vehicle upon arrival, documenting the entire vehicle, existing damages, and interior inventory to ensure a clear record of its condition. Please note, our team does not inspect or handle the personal belongings inside vehicles, nor do we encourage such behavior among our staff. Our facility is equipped with surveillance cameras, and all vehicle areas are routinely videotaped to maintain security and accountability. If you notice any new damages or missing items upon retrieving your vehicle, please notify our office immediately. We will initiate a thorough investigation, reviewing all photographs and surveillance footage to determine the facts and provide you with a detailed response. This process typically takes 3–5 business days. Additionally, be aware that items may have been seized by law enforcement if your vehicle was involved in a police tow or investigation. In such cases, the police department will have custody of those items as evidence. Your trust is important to us, and we strive to handle every vehicle with the utmost care and professionalism.

Lot Policies
To ensure the security and safety of our customers, their vehicles, and our facilities the following policies are in place.
EVERYONE entering the impound lot MUST:
1. Check in and out with the office.
2. Have a valid state photo I.D., passport, or driver's license scanned into our system.
a. Customers without valid identification will not be permitted into the lot.
3. Have the tow slip from the police department.

4. Anyone under the age of 18 must remain outside the lot or in the group's vehicle if driving back to collect personals.
Safety Policies
1. No open toed shoes.
2. No smoking or vaping.
3. No wandering around lot.
4. No idling vehicles.
Insurance Release Procedure
For vehicle owners who wish to go through insurance they must fill out a “Motor Vehicle Release Form”. This can be done in person or via email (towing@bettsgarage.com). Please notify our staff if you need to release your vehicle or would like more information about releasing.

Additional charges

- Storage is charged by calendar day not by hours. Storage starts the day the vehicle comes in until the day the vehicle leaves.
- If a vehicle is towed in after office hours, and the owner picks it up the following day, the minimum charge is $225.00 or $250.00 (motorcycle). Other fees may be applied but storage is not added.
- If a vehicle is towed in after office hours and is not picked up the following day storage will be added.
